Vedic Panchkarma Wellness Treatment
According to Ayurveda, the technique of panchakarma eliminates toxic elements from the body. It is preceded by Poorvakarma, Paschatkarma, and Peyadikarma. The five procedures are claimed to eliminate the vitiated Doshas from the body. They are Vamana (Emesis), Virechana (Purgation), Niroohavasti (Decoction enema), Nasya (Installation of medicine through nostrils), and Anuvasanavasti (Oil enema). Nirooha Anuvasana and Uttaravasthi form the basic types of Vasti.
It is important to prepare the body before carrying out these Pancahkarma. The following process is followed before carrying out the Panchakarma procedure.
Snehana means Oleation or to make smooth. Swedana: This procedure is very important to liquefy the vitiated Doshas inside the body (which are already made soft by oleation / procedure), later to be brought to Koshtha , which will be eliminated by inducing either Vamana / Virechana.
Panchakarma will remove the excess doshas and correct imbalances in them as well as eliminate the harmful ama out of your system through the body's own organs and channels of elimination (colon, sweat glands, lungs, bladder, urinary tract, stomach, intestines, etc). Panchakarma purifies the tissues at a very deep level. It involves daily massages and oil baths, herbal enemas, nasal administrations. It is a very pleasurable experience. Ayurveda recommends Panchakarma as a seasonal treatment for maintaining mental and physical hygiene and balance.
